      The goal Insight into the genres of history of literature. Getting acquainted with types of monographs of literary history. Overview of genre characteristics of monographs. Overview of the history and theory of the genre of monographs in the field of Hungarian literary history. Most significant literary-historical monographs in Hungarian literature.
      The outcome Students have knowledge in the field of research of Hungarian literature, in the field of historical periods as well as literary oeuvres and genres.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures : Genres of literary history. Genre characteristics of the literary-historical monograph. Epoch monographs. Biographical monographs and monographs of writers (monographs of literary oeuvres). Monographs of genres. Most significant monographs of periods in Hungarian literature. Monographs on writers (Berzsenyi, Petőfi, Arany, Kemény, Jókai, Mikszáth, Kosztolányi, Mészöly, Mándi, Nádas, Danilo Kiš, Gion etc.). Genre monographs. Canonization, cult, tendencies in monograph writing.
