      The goal Analysis and comprehension of the complex genre structure of historical novels. Analysis of modality (types) of historical novels. Analysis of genre elements of historical narrative as well as of its contemporary theories. Following and understanding events and periods in the development of Hungarian historical novel.
      The outcome In-depth knowledge of structural, typological, poetic and historical organization and functioning of Hungarian historical novel. Students gain knowledge in comprehending historical narratives, they are acquainted with the history of Hungarian novel and its potential typological ordering. They apply effective methods of understanding the past.
