      The goal The students are introduced to the lyric poetry canons and discourses in Hungarian poetry, starting with 1948, and the interpretation of lyric texts from that period.
      The outcome The students become familiar with determining trends in Hungarian poetry, starting with 1948. The students master the most important professional literature and develop proficiency in interpretation of literary texts from that period.

      Contents of lectures Literary politics in 1948. Újhold literary journal. Tradition and successors of Illyés’s poetry and emerging of a new generation. Confession and “collective subjectivism“ in poetry. Poetics of “a Long Poem“. Reflective discourse in the poetry of the seventies. Neo – avant – garde (Dezső Tandori), autobiographical fiction (Ottó Orbán), objective lyric poetry (Imre Oravecz). Ironic discourse in György Petri’s poetry.
