    The goal Acquiring basic knowledge about the history of German speaking countries. History of culture as the basis for understanding the world of today, political and cultural issues, cultural identity. Connecting basic knowledge from different areas, sensibility of students in the interdisciplinary and intercultural aspect, as well as in relation to our own cultural past.
    The outcome A student possesses basic knowledge about the history of German speaking countries, critical awareness of cultural development and identity, connects different aspects of the culture which he or she is able to notice and interpret independently.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures The overview of the German culture's history and the culture of German speaking countries from the 18th century to 1945
    Contents of exercises Within the course of practical exercises, enabling the student for independent research, interpretation and presentation of information about German history and culture.
