      The goal Mastering the key concepts in the sociological research of tourism; analysis of social condition of characteristics and changes in tourism; training students for independent analysis of the modern tourism industry.
      The outcome Acquiring knowledge for a sociological analysis of tourism, especially in contemporary societies. Developing the skills necessary for the independent creation and realization of empirical research on relations between modern societies and tourism industry.

      Contents of lectures Formation, development and concept of tourism sociology; Tourism as a total social phenomenon; Theories and paradigms in tourism research; Sociological methods in tourism research; Phenomenology of tourist experience; The hospitality; Concept of host and guest; Typology of tourists; The tourist values, needs and motives; Development of tourism industry and hospitality; Societies and tourism; Social patterns and consequences of tourism; Tourism and social inequalities; Sustainable tourism; Tourist and gastronomic experience as a commodity; Tourism and other social subsystems.
