The goal | The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the concept, theoretical approaches in social development and social planning, as well as the types and contents of social development and planning. Also, the aim is to introduce students with characteristics of social development and planning in different social contexts, and especially to (contemporary) Serbian society. In addition to this, the goal is also to train students to independently and critically analyze key strategic documents in the field of social development and planning, as well as to evaluate different approaches in social planning, in relation to the set goals of social development, available resources and expected outcomes. | |||
The outcome | Students should be able to: define concepts and explain theoretical concepts on social development and social planning; understand the links between the main concepts and the social condition of the types of social planning; applying acquired knowledge in problem formulation, conceiving and planning research, as well as explaining modern planning and social development processes; analyze the characteristics of social development and planning in different social, economic, cultural contexts; develop a critical attitude towards strategic and normative documents in the field of social planning and development. | |||

Concept, goals and types of social planning. Dimensions, functions and principles of social planning. Social planning and social context. Social planning in the local community. Participation in social planning. Methods for collecting, processing, systematizing and interpreting data in social planning. Characteristics of social planning in Serbian society. | |||
