The goal | The aim of the course is to present the characteristics of social marketing as a process of solving of the following issues: health problems (health and social insurance), problems of security (protection from maltreatment), environmental protection, etc. Besides, this includes the issues of social exclusion, and social inclusion using various concepts of social marketing. | |||
The outcome | The students should be able to: define the notions of marketing and social marketing; understand and analyze the most important theories of marketing communication; understand the importance of social marketing in solving social problems; understand the difference between social and commercial marketing; create efficient marketing campaign in the area of social protection; analyze characteristics of social marketing and its application in solving problems of social exclusion. | |||

Contents of lectures | Notion of social marketing; difference between social and commercial marketing; mechanisms of defining target groups; planning in social marketing; environment of social marketing; characteristics of different aspects of strategies of social marketing; management of social marketing programs. | |||
Contents of exercises | Defining characteristics of social marketing through analysis of numerous examples of social marketing campaign; creating marketing campaigns for selected social problems. | |||
