The goal | The aim of the course "The Philosophy of Morality" is to get students acquainted with the basic contents of philosophy of morality as a philosophical discipline that studies the inner structure of the moral character. | |||
The outcome | The outcome of the course should provide students with orientation in moral issues, especially with regard to the structure of the will and volition of human activities. | |||

Contents of lectures | The problem of the philosophical foundation of psychology. Philosophy had to be a philosophical-ethical discipline. The notion of morality (Socrates, Stoicism, the Roman notion of morality, the Judeochristian notion of morality, the New Age concept of morality, Kant, Hegel, Contemporary discussions on the notion of morality). Moral character and structure of moral action (moral character, moral motives, egoism and altruism, moral conviction, moral intention, decision and choice, moral imputation, guilt and sanction, moral shame and repentance, concept of moral responsibility, concept of conscience). | |||
