The tenth anniversary Student Linguistics Conference (Stulikon)

The tenth anniversary Student Linguistics Conference (Stulikon) was held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad from May 15 to 17, 2026. This year's conference brought together 40 participants from universities across Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Italy, representing all levels of study. Stulikon is an annual conference dedicated to fostering networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among linguistics students both within the region and internationally.

The conference was opened by Professor Una Popović, Vice Dean for International Relations and Science, who welcomed the participants and addressed the audience. On the first day of the conference, the invited lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Predrag Kovačević (Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad), while the second day's invited lecture was given by Academician Jasmina Grković-Major (Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad).

The conference took place in a welcoming and collegial atmosphere, marked by lively discussions and exchanges of ideas both during and between sessions. As some participants were presenting at an academic conference for the first time, Stulikon successfully fulfilled its central mission: providing a platform for students engaged in independent linguistic research, while also offering constructive feedback and encouragement for their future work.

The organization of the conference involved staff and students from the Department of English Studies, the Department of Serbian Language and Linguistics, the Department of Italian and Ibero-American Studies, as well as the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, whose effort and enthusiasm were instrumental in making this year's Stulikon a success.
