      The goal The objective of the course is to train PhD students for the study and profound analysis of Hungarian literature in Vojvodina from 1950 to 1960 when the large-format writers, "the generation of the 1950s" emerged.
      The outcome By researching and reading original texts and receptions, PhD students increase understanding of literary history, and of important social and literary trendsand significant aspects of the development of Hungarian literature in Vojvodina, which at that time was freed from propagandist barriers and developed into literature in the modern sense.

      Contents of lectures Notion of periodization. Prehistory. Writer of theregion’s history:JánosHerceg.Holocaust as an experience and theme: József Debreceni. Critic, essayist and organizer of literary life: György B. Szabó. Poet of traditional values and forms: Ferenc Fehér. Beginnings of urban literature: Károly Ács.Narration and short forms: István Német. Polemics and discord, beginnings of modern literature.
