      The goal To introduce students to the rules of the orthography of lexical categories in Hungarian, to train students to write successfully and to introduce them to the rules and methods or contrastive orthography in the context of a minority language.
      The outcome Students have an understanding of the rules of Hungarian orthography and the ability to apply these rules mechanically.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Types of interference at the level of orthography. The linguistic foundations of Hungarian orthography. The principle of phonetic transcription. The etymological principle of orthography in Hungarian. Open and closed compounds. Splitting words. The orthography of personal names and toponyms. Capitalization rules. Punctuation. Abbreviations. The use of spelling in text organization.
