      The goal To introduce and aid the acquisition of translation processes and requirements a good quality translation is expected to meet, to point out the geographical and temporal factors influencing translation.
      The outcome Well-developed bilingual competence, understanding of the methods and skills required for translating from Serbian into Hungarian and vice versa. Ability to analyze the history and critical reviews of a translation.

      Contents of lectures The history of translation; the development of the translation theory; the translation science and the place of the theory within it; correlation of translation theory with other disciplines; equivalence; universals; the linguistic model of translation; the denotative translation model; the semantic and semiotic translation model; types of translation and interpretation
