    The goal Introducing lexical and grammatical translation procedures and developing the ability to choose the appropriate translation method. Introducing rules and techniques of interpretation
    The outcome To gain knowledge about the basic types of translation (general, legal, commerical, administrative, literary translation, consecutive and simultaneous interpretation) and special requirements related to each of these. Practical teaching. To acquire the ability to undertake specific tasks in editorial offices and translation services.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Logical and methodological steps in translation; the system of technics in translation; text analysis and dictionaries; implicitation and explication; transposition and inversion; modulation and compensation; consecutive and simultaneous interpretation; court interpretation; theater translation and synchronization of films
    Contents of exercises Practice classes build on the theory outlined in the lectures with individual translation exercises of different kinds of texts.
