    The goal Introducing students to the literary and theoretical aspects of regional understanding of literature, studying the prehistory and history of Hungarian literature in Vojvodina.
    The outcome Recognizing the importance of regional identity, understanding literary trends and getting to knowthe literary institutions. Critical interpretation of cultural flows and literary works.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Theory of the region, philosophy of the provinces. The status of Hungarian literature in Vojvodina. Prehistory and cultural history of the region. Theory of local colour. Literary trends after World War II. The journal “Új Symposion”. O.Tolnai and I. Domonkos’ poetry. L. Végel’s and N. Gion’s prose. Performances, happenings, sound and visual art. Latest generation of young authors.
    Contents of exercises Analysing Hungarian fiction from the Hungarian literature in Vojvodina.
