    The goal Acquiring methods of dialect collection, as well as acquiring skills of phonetic transcription.
    The outcome Autonomous fieldwork of data collection, processing the collected dialectal text.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Methods of data collection. Phonetic transcription. Problems of writing down oral language: articulation, punctuation, interpretation of texts. Content and formal analysis of written texts. Researching Hungarian linguistic atlas. Variances of geographic distribution in our dialects. Provincialism and our dictionaries of provincialisms. Dialectal conscience. Attitude towards dialects.
    Contents of exercises Phonetic, morphological, lexical, semantic, syntactic and textual analysis of dialectal texts. Coordination, controll and collective discussion of the autonomous fieldwork data collection.
