    The goal Acquisition of modern educational methods. Getting acquainted with the theoretical aspects of the subject and the education as a process.
    The outcome Training for primary-school, high-school and adult education. Pedagogical researches, acquisition of the method of education planning, developing, the acceptance of new technologies, their usage during work.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Fields of competence development, their instances. Fields and methods of vernacular competence development. The results of competency measurements and things we can learn about them. Paradigm shift in literature teaching. Reforms in literature teaching (experience-oriented literature teaching, literature class as hermeneutical situation, mediamorphosis in school, etc.). Multidisciplinarity in literature teaching, interdisciplinary relations. New programs, virtual worlds, digital language, literature on the worldwide web. Creative writing. The development of oral and written text production, and their evaluation. The process of reading. Theory and practice of the development of reading comprehension and voice reading. The development of critical thinking with written and oral practices. Working with talented students. Inclusive education. Adult training. Textbooks and mediamorphosis. Extracurricular literature teaching: museum pedagogy, library pedagogy and their interfaces, bibliotherapy.
    Contents of exercises Skill assessment methods on vernacular classes: interactive and cooperative techniques, the project method, student portfolios, ICT usage. The development of independent learning skill. The strategies and methods of reading instruction and improvement. Competency measurements with regard to foreign and indigenous text comprehension and text production. Text comprehension – conventional and modern practices. The practices of promoting oral and written text production. Practice and exercise types. Test preparation and evaluation. Information literacy, library knowledge, library and independent learning.
