The goal | The aim of the course is to present basic knowledge on the process of marketing communication, with its human, social, cultural, economic and technical dimension, as well as to develop skills of understanding, studying and explanation of the process. The aim is also to strengthen the professional-practical side of future experts (sociologists) | |||
The outcome | The students are able to study different aspects of marketing as a complex and multidimensional process. | |||
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | The basic characteristics of marketing and marketing communication; why sociology should study marketing; sociology as a science that studies marketing as a form of communication among social actors; sociology as professional activity in marketing, connecting economic system with sociological explanations and analysis; different theories of marketing; strategies applied in marketing communication and its analysis. | |||
Contents of exercises | Preparation of students (supervised) and their presentation of certain theoretical problems in marketing communication, with analysis of the main trends in global transition; presentation of sociological (and other) studies of marketing; creating of potential research (theoretical frame, hypothesis, sample, Technics). | |||
